Letting It Go, Tending to My Zen Garden & Can’t-Idates
If your to-do list is starting to feel like a second full-time job, it might be time for a business sanity check.
This month, we’re walking you through a simple decision filter we love:
Automate. Personalize. Let go.
It’s part systems strategy, part nervous system support — and the goal is to help you spend less time spiraling and more time doing what actually matters.
Automate it:
🔁 Repetitive, low-risk, high-volume
→ Think: onboarding emails, appointment scheduling, abandoned cart reminders, invoice follow-ups, welcome flows.
→ These tasks happen often, don’t require much nuance, and definitely don’t need you hand-typing “Hi! Just following up...” for the 17th time.
Examples we love:
-HoneyBook or Dubsado for onboarding
-Klaviyo or Flodesk for emails
-Calendly with pre-qualifying questions
-Airtable forms for client intake
Let software handle the basics — so you can focus on the parts of your business that can’t be templatized.
Personalize it:
💬 High-trust, high-value, high-touch
→ Think: proposals, thank-you gifts, client offboarding, big collaborations, voice notes to a mentor, reaching out to someone you want to work with.
→ These are the moments where your attention is the strategy. Personalization creates resonance, trust, and retention.
You don’t have to custom-create everything — just the parts where a thoughtful human touch creates disproportionate impact.
Let go of it:
✂️ Low-impact, energy-sucking, legacy habits
→ Think: tweaking your Instagram bio every week, custom PDFs for every pitch, replying to every DM with paragraph-length advice, offering services you’ve outgrown because you know how.
→ If it drains you, doesn’t drive results, or wouldn’t break the business if you dropped it, you’re allowed to put it down.
Want support figuring out which is which?
That’s what we’re here for. Join us for our next Work With Day — or become a member to surround yourself with smart womxn who are building businesses that work with them, not against them.
Here’s to better systems, clearer priorities, and a little more space to breathe.
