Staying Top of Mind, Year of the Horse & Messy Affairs

We all know visibility matters — but that doesn’t mean you want to spend your life on Instagram.

The good news? You don’t have to be constantly posting, commenting, or “building your brand” in order to stay top of mind. In fact, the most effective visibility moves are often the quietest.

This month, we’re sharing a few light-touch, human ways to stay visible in your industry — without being online 24/7.

For connection:
📬 Send a quick “thinking of you” message once a week
To a former client. A collaborator. Someone you’d love to work with again. It doesn’t have to be formal — just:
→ “Saw this and thought of you.”
→ “Congrats on your launch — looks incredible.”
→ “Let me know what you’re working on this fall — would love to support.”

No sales pitch. No pressure. Just presence.

For credibility:
📣 Be easy to talk about. And easy to refer.
Make sure your current offer, bio, or pitch is crystal clear (even if you’re not actively promoting it). When people do think of you, you want them to know exactly what you do and how to share it.

→ Update your LinkedIn headline or Instagram bio
→ Send a quick “feel free to forward this” blurb to a few close contacts
→ Add recent client wins or testimonials to your site

Sometimes it’s not that people forgot you. It’s that they don’t know what you’re doing now.

For momentum:
🤝 Say yes to one live touchpoint a month
A coffee chat, a panel, a co-working session, a voice note reply — anything that puts your voice, face, or brain in front of someone you respect. These are the conversations people remember, and the ones that often lead to referrals, invites, or next opportunities.

For goodwill:
🔗 Introduce two people who should know each other
Think of it as a low-lift, high-impact connection. Whether it’s a warm referral or a simple “I think you two should be in each other’s orbit,” this kind of intro:
→ Shows both contacts you were thinking of them
→ Positions you as generous and well-connected
→ Reminds people to come to you first when opportunities pop up

No follow-up required. Just a smart, thoughtful ripple.
You don’t need to post every day to be remembered. You just need to be consistent, clear, and thoughtful — in your own way.

Here’s to staying visible on your own terms.
