Feeling Floopy, Silly Taylor & Tailored Dresses

You’re booked. You’re delivering. You’re doing work that people respect, pay for, even rave about.

And still, something feels off.

It’s not burnout exactly. It’s more like... boredom. Or misalignment. Or the quiet ache of realizing, “I don’t think I love this anymore.”

This week, we’re talking about what happens when you're great at something, but no longer lit up by it.

🧭 First: You’re not flaky.

You’re evolving. Your work is allowed to change as you do. Just because something fits now doesn’t mean it’s forever.

💰 Yes, even if it’s profitable.

Money is a factor — but not the only one. An offer that brings in revenue but drains your energy is costing you something, too.

🎤 Yes, even if people love it.

Praise is not permission. If something no longer feels aligned, you don’t owe it to your clients, your audience, or your past self to keep doing it.

Here’s what to try instead:

→ Audit what parts of the offer still feel good (and build from there).

→ Test a softer transition — raise the price, shorten the timeline, reduce the scope, or bring on an execution partner.

→ Say it out loud to a trusted peer: “I don’t think I want to do this anymore.”

→ Give yourself permission to stop before you have the new thing figured out.

Much like a romantic relationship (happy Vday, everyone 🖤), you don’t have to hate something to decide you’re done with it.

Sometimes, outgrowing a version of your work is the clearest sign of growth there is.

Inside the Weak Ties/Strong Bonds membership, we talk about this all the time, especially with women who’ve mastered something… and are ready for what’s next.

Here’s to releasing with clarity, and making space for what’s coming.

Things We Loved This Week

Lauren’s Things

✨ I watched the entire ice dancing documentary and every moment of related Olympic content in large part thanks to Ariel Abramowitz, who has started writing a very fun newsletter about internet and pop culture (and is newly taking freelance work!)

📺 Oh my god, Ponies is so good. Please watch it, I can't handle it only getting one season a la Laid. If nothing else, do it for the incredible 70's fashion.

🤬 Your weekly reminder to let go of imposter syndrome since the men are out here doing this.

👗 Odd Muse has another new collection, and I am once again tempted to give them all of my money. Currently drooling over this piece.

⛸️ Clearly. Obviously.

🖇️ Who is the stapler?? (And why are there 2 paperclip emojis and 0 staplers?)

To Tie Things Up…

If it feels floopy, it might be growth.
