Spring Cleaning Your Business, Marbleized Velvet, & Afroman

Not everything that moves your business forward looks like growth. Sometimes it looks like clearing space.

Now that it’s finally, mercifully, officially spring, here are ways to spring clean not just your home, but also your business – to reset for the season:

🧹 Clean Your Digital Surfaces

  • Close tabs. Ruthlessly.

  • Archive or delete anything you’re not using.

  • Clean up or create a folder structure in programs like Google Drive, Dropbox or Canva.

  • Rename files so Future You can actually find them.

Clarity is a productivity tool.

📬 Reset Your Communication Channels

  • Try out the inbox zero life—or at least achieve inbox honesty.

  • Unsubscribe from what you never read.

  • Update your email filters and folders.

  • Leave or mute Slack channels you don’t need.

Every unread message is an open loop.

🤝 Tidy Your Network

  • Review your contacts + CRM.

  • Archive or remove stale leads.

  • Clean up LinkedIn— decide who your real connections are, and who’s just cluttering your feed.

  • Make a short list of people you want to reconnect with this quarter.

Your network should feel energizing, not crowded.

💸 Get Financially Grounded

  • Review accounts, subscriptions, and recurring charges.

  • Clean up expense categories.

  • Check in on cash flow and upcoming obligations.

  • Deal with anything you’ve been avoiding before tax season forces the issue.

Calm comes from knowing, not guessing.

🧠 Clear Mental Clutter

  • Write down all open loops (projects, ideas, “shoulds”).

  • Decide: do, delegate, defer, or delete.

  • Revisit your priorities for the next 90 days.

You don’t need more discipline—you need fewer loose ends.

🔧 Light Systems Maintenance

  • Update templates (proposals, decks, onboarding docs).

  • Document anything you’ve explained more than twice.

  • Fix one small recurring annoyance in your workflow.

Tiny fixes compound fast.

If You Only Do One Thing

Pick the area that’s quietly draining you.

Not the most important. Not the most strategic. The one you’ve been avoiding.

That’s the one that gives you your energy back.

If that feels scary (not gonna lie, writing this newsletter quickened our pulse a time or two), then tackle it in good company. Our next Work With Day is tomorrow!

🚪 I’ve been following the Afroman vs. Adams County Sheriff's Office shenanigans (read: civil rights violations) since Will You Help Me Repair My Door and I’m thrilled it’s finally spilled out to the normies.
